Ball Marks

Ball marks should always be repaired! At no time is repair more important then post aeration when greens are softer then usual. We experienced a larger then usual amount of unrepaired ball marks on greens this morning. We are also entering the time of year where poa (annual bluegrass) will start to germinate. The voids left from unrepaired ball marks give poa (annual bluegrass) an opportunity to encroach on the green. The unfixed ball marks will also create a bumpy playing surface once we are healed from aeration. Please do your part and helping the agronomy team provide the best play surfaces possible by fixing your ball marks and replacing your divots.
