The start of the 2026 golf season is fast approaching. An updated opening date for the course will be provided this coming Monday via the blog. An official club notice will be going out sometime later.

As stated in the last blog the golf course came out of the winter in good condition. The first group of our seasonal staff returned at the start of this week and have been hard at work preparing the course for the start of the season.

So far work completed in the last few weeks include:

  • Chipping of brush piles has been completed. We are in the process of hauling away any chip piles made during this process.

  • The area by cart parking for the 6th green has been sodded in addition to the cart exit point between the fairway bunkers on 9.

  • Preparation of the 52 bunkers on the golf course is well underway. Sand is being added to bunkers when needed, sand depth is being checked, as well as some re-edging work where needed. So far over 30 tons of sand has been hauled to bunkers by the crew.

  • Greens were rolled this morning for the first time this season. The first mow of the season will likely be next week after this coming weekends low nighttime temperatures pass.

  • The buffalo blowers and backpack blowers have also been busy clearing off play surfaces. All greens along with most of the tees have been cleared off at this point. Fairways have been started when conditions allow us to be on them.
