With the predicted low of 25 degrees for Ipswich, we will most likely have a delayed start in the morning. We will get play out as soon as possible. Frost communication will come via a text. It will only go out to members that are currently on the tee sheet.

With the rain/snow today making bunkers moist combined with the cold night, the bunker sand will most likely be frozen in the morning. Frozen sand might linger late in the day. Please be aware of this as you attempt any bunker shots.

Also with the cold night the greens soil surface might freeze overnight as well. No prep to the greens will occur due to this. Greens were cut today April 7th for only the second time. With these cuts we are just basically removing growth that occurred late last fall after we did our final cut of the season. As conditions allow we will begin more regular cutting and rolling of the greens surfaces.

The agronomy team has been doing a lot of work to bunkers, basically since the day the snow melted. This has been the major focus of my team and consumed the majority of our time. While play areas are clean and the majority of rough is as well. There will still be a few piles of debris on the course and a few out of way areas that still have debris.

The past week has also been very wet with very few drying periods. We will need to start the season cart path only. We will get carts on fairways as soon as conditions and turf growth allows.

Frost communications will be coming via text and will only be communicated to members who are on the tee sheet for the day. With the cold temperatures predicted overnight the bunkers will most likely be frozen early in the day. Also with the cold temperatures predicted for overnight no course prep will be made to greens. Greens were cut today, but this was only the second cut of the season and we are basically just removing growth from last fall.
