An inch of rain fell on the ICC grounds on 9/22! This will put an end to any water worries we have for this season. As we move into next week we will continue with the second round of fairway seeding (hopefully our new seeder is delivered soon). We are about halfway complete with the second round. With most areas now in grow in stage we will start tee aeration. There will be no disruption to play during the tee aeration process. Our goal is to finish tee aeration next week. With 71 tees and a lot on the to do list this may be a challenge! We will also be putting out our fall fertility to tees, fairways, and rough next week. As soon as we finish tee aeration we will start on approach aeration. The only disruption that may be experienced with approach aeration is a sand covered approach. We must wait for the sand topdressing to dry before we brush the sand in.

A sure sign of fall is the planting of mums. Currently, we have only changed out the wedding area. The annuals are still looking amazing and hopefully frost is still a long way away!

The area of poor turf on the beginning of 15 fairway was cut out and prepped for sod. Unfortunately, we were so eager to renovate the area we did not get any before pictures of the area. This area may have been an old construction haul road causing the turf to decline. The existing soil was tilled and new soil was also added into the mix. This area is scheduled to be sodded next week.

Greens are rolling at 12 feet or slightly above. Speed should increase as greens dry out or remain the same this weekend. Weekend weather looks pretty good. A perfect time to take advantage of your course and all that it has to offer.
