We received another soaking rain this week with .57 inches of rain falling. Our irrigation pond is at about 3/4 capacity now and continues to replenish.

This week we aerated approaches and topdressed them with sand. We have done this for the past two seasons to help firm and tighten up the approaches.

Below are some pictures of the approach aeration process

The drought damaged turf on the first fairway bunker was stripped and sod is scheduled for delivery Thursday, Oct. 27th. This project should be wrapped up by the end of the day Thursday or Friday depending on other course activities.

A new quick coupler was installed on the 2nd fairway, allowing us to easily hand-water sections of the fairway and fairway bunkers. Over the next few weeks we will add additional quick couplers to various fairways as we prepare for next season.

We are in full leaf mode right now but it has been difficult to keep up with the rate at which leaves are currently falling. The team and I are hoping to catch up this weekend and next week.

Other work competed this week:

Rough areas were fertilized as we continue to work on thickening the rough.

Greens were sprayed with fungicide, various fertility products, and plant growth regulator as we continue to prepare them for winter
