Now that the sodded area on the 14th green surround is established, work continues on the expansion of the 15th green surround.
Just about ready for a visit from the sod truck. One advantage of sodding these areas instead of seeding them is that they can be opened for play relatively quickly. The ropes will be removed on 14 very soon.
We are also continuing to work on the newly constructed tees on 9 and 16. On Friday morning we punched them with solid tines and rolled. The aeration provides channels for new roots to grow into while also softening the surface for the roller to smooth out imperfections. Afterwards they were top-dressed and dragged. The tentative plan is to open these tees for play on Saturday the 18th
The beginning of summer is almost here, finals are over and our summer seasonal staff has returned. Ethan and Owen got right to work cleaning up the bunker edges on the 2nd hole.
Our friendly fox family continues to log rounds out on the course while an egret and deer patrol the ponds and woods
We've also spotted some snapping turtles finding interesting spots to lay their eggs
