The Ipswich Country Club will be open for play Saturday April 2nd. We are excited to welcome members back to the course for the 2022 season.

The last loads of logs and stumps from winter work were removed from the course. In addition a hazardous tree next to the cart path by the 17th green was cut down.

Tree from 17:

Fairways, tees, and approaches received their first cut of the year.

Frost heaving during the winter sometimes results in liner around the greens poking through the ground. This liner was installed during the construction of the greens to prevent contamination of the greens root zone mixture by surrounding soils. The exposed liner was cut out using a sawzall and the strip of cut turf will be monitored to prevent further damage.

Bunkers were cleaned out of debris and raked. Freezing temperatures at the beginning of the week prevented some additional work from being completed due to frozen sand. We will be adding additional sand where necessary in the coming weeks.
