Forward Tee and Aeration Update

Final laser grading of the 8th tee

The forward tees have been completed and soil amendments added. The sodding has been pushed back to Thursday, May 7th. The sod for the tees is coming from New Jersey and the temperatures are in the 90's down there today and very dry like we are in Ipswich. The sod would not survive cutting and transportation today for installation tomorrow. Weather looks perfect for sod harvesting and transportation tomorrow and we should be on track for a Thursday install.

Today was the first cut to greens after aeration. We still picked up a fair amount of sand. More frequent mowing and some rolling will now take place. I suspect we will be mostly healed by the weekend. Green speed will still be a little slower until we switch back to our normal greens mowers. Right now we are mowing with topdressing mowers as the sand will quickly dull the cutting units.
